10 Things you didn't know about Lobo

Interesting facts about DC's Lobo

DC's Lobo is an intergalactic bounty hunter with attitude! He had one rule: to carry out a contract no matter what!

10. Lobo was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen to be a parody of Wolverine, who beat him up in a bar fight once during a crossover event. He wasn't meant to be popular but was surprisingly enthusiastically accepted by fans of the trend of 'grim and gritty'.

Even his creator, Keith Giffen, had no idea why Lobo took off and somehow caught on as the high violence poster boy.

9. He was Marvel writer Stan Lee's favourite DC character.

8. He was once an uninvited member of the Justice League.

7. He exterminated his own planet, Czarnia, by releasing a scorpion-like monster that he created, which decimated the entire planet's population except for his high school teacher. He allowed his teacher to live because she had a contract out with him, but as soon as it was honoured, he ended her straight after.

6. He loves dolphins; space dolphins, to be exact! He refuses to fight against Aquaman because of their mutual love for dolphins.

5. The Main Man has powerful healing factors and can regenerate from just a single drop of blood.

4. He has been kicked out of both heaven and hell! He once died and was sent to hell, but his murderous behaviour resulted in him being booted out again. But he was still dead, so he ended up in heaven who kicked him out when he carried on his rampaging ways. While unable to get into heaven and hell, he wandered as a ghost, continuing to cause phantasmal chaos.

3. He has been able to stand toe to toe with Superman, survive unprotected in deep space, and withstand high level, destructive weaponry.

2. Lobo has extraordinary speed, even rivalling The Flash.

1. He once tried to kill Santa Claus after being hired to carry out the hit by the Easter Bunny. You can watch a live action film of this - The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special.

Bonus Fact: Lobo is set to join the DCEU soon...

Strengths: Superhuman strength, speed, senses, stamina, longevity and durability; expert marksman and hand to hand combatant; regeneration; cloning; immortality.
