DC's Lobo is an intergalactic bounty hunter with attitude! He had one rule: to carry out a contract no matter what!
10. Lobo was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen to be a parody of Wolverine, who beat him up in a bar fight once during a crossover event. He wasn't meant to be popular but was surprisingly enthusiastically accepted by fans of the trend of 'grim and gritty'.
Even his creator, Keith Giffen, had no idea why Lobo took off and somehow caught on as the high violence poster boy.

7. He exterminated his own planet, Czarnia, by releasing a scorpion-like monster that he created, which decimated the entire planet's population except for his high school teacher.
