The casting of Doctor Doom and other news

Robert Downey Jr returns as Victor Von Doom.

During a recent Comic Con, Marvel has revealed the casting of Doctor Doom as Robert Downey Jr, who also played Iron Man, there was a lot of controversy with this casting, with many people liking the return of Robert Downey Jr, and a lot of people being angry, so lets take a look at why people are mad.

Doctor Doom is Romani in comics, his entire backstory is because of his culture, if Marvel removes that, then he's not Victor Von Doom, he's just some sorcerer in armor. In addition to this, Robert Downey Jr doesn't have the right build. Doom is much taller than him and he may look bad if he's much shorter. Finally, some people are mad about how Marvel re-used Robert Downey Jr as a cash grab or for nostalgia.

Some people are saying that Iron Man has been Doctor Doom once in comics, however this is completely wrong. Doctor Doom has been Iron Man before in the Infamous Iron Man comic run, not the other way around. In conclusion, Robert may be able to pull it off, however this decision was not good.

In Captain America, brave New World, it has been revealed that Red Hulk is the villain and the giant Celestial shown in Eternals will be a major plot point, with it being made of Adamantium, the metal that is coated onto Wolverine's skeleton.

Other Marvel news is the main villain of Fantastic Four next year, the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus. The design is actually a humanoid being, unlike the original Fantastic Four movie. There was only a quick look at Galactus' eye, but it looks extremely detailed.

Finally, DC has revealed a new logo, which looks simple and good.
