Before the capture of Palpatine, what if Anakin Skywalker complied with what Mace Windu ordered and stayed in the Jedi Temple?
If Anakin remained as told and Mace destroyed the elusive Sith Lord, then when Windu returned, the young Jedi would be promoted to a Jedi Master for his achievements of uncovering the Sith Lord and for being dutiful and obedient for following orders.
Order 66 wouldn't ever happen, so no Jedi would die or be hunted down and clones would continue to work with their masters.
In time, the Republic would find the last Separatist leaders and confront them on Mustafar. The battle droids would be shut down or rehabilitated, and the Separatists would be taken to prison to pay for their crimes against the galaxy.
Padme would eventually give birth to Luke and Leia. Hearing about this, considering the breach of their strict and archaic rules, The Jedi Council would be forced to change the Jedi code and allow their members to have relationships and connections to others.
Anakin would train more and become one of the most powerful Jedi of all time, eventually leading the peace keepers.
Over time, Luke and Leia would grow up and learn the Jedi way under their father, Anakin Skywalker's teachings. They would grow up strong and ethical and continue their learning under the most powerful of the Jedi like Obi Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Yoda.
The dark side will still rise and eventually the Republic would learn of the construction of The Death Star.
Members of The Jedi Council would strike to nullify this new threat to peace and negotiate the surrender of the leader of the Empire, General Tarkin. He would naturally decline and the Jedi would take immediate action, to destroy him and stop the Death Star's construction.
The galaxy would finally be peaceful as the Jedi would recruit more members and become stronger than ever.
