What happened when Darth Vader fought Boba Fett?

Boba Fett and Darth Vader once duelled to the death

Boba Fett and Darth Vader used to work together a lot in Star Wars Cannon, but, in Legends, they had a fight which nearly lead to a surprising death.

It started as Boba wanting to kill Han Solo but Vader had a different method to get rid of him. Right as Solo was about to die, Vader came bursting in with his lightsaber on.

Solo slipped away during the fight where they could have settled it easily, but chose not to.

Boba Fett's blaster wasn't effective to Vader since he's a Sith lord, who has decades of fighting experience. Nothing Boba did was harming him an, in the last minute, when Vader was towering over the bounty hunter, Boba pulled something out of his arsenal, a green lightsaber from a Jedi he had killed.

They had a lightsaber duel and suddenly they both realised that Solo was getting away. They then stopped fighting and went to after Solo together.

Another fight they had was four years after the battle of Yavin, Boba betrayed the Empire and realised he would be killed so he fled.

Vader went after him personally and though he used his wide array of arsenal, such as grenades, fire, guns and more, nothing stopped him.

Fett ended up near a cliff and Vader trapped him there. Boba could use one arm only since he was carrying an object that he stole and Vader was blocking all the shots.

Knowing he was going to lose and die, Fett jumped off a cliff into molten lava. Vader looked went to the ledge of the cliff and looked down to see a laser aimed at his head.

The fallen Jedi then started crushing Boba in his beskar armour until the object they were fighting over fell. Vader released Boba to get it and that's when the Mandalorian knew he had a chance to win. He had a kill shot available to him, but instead of taking it and risk having the Empire chase him for the rest of his life, he flew away.
