Five reasons why Lady Death is so in love with Deadpool
The villainous Thanos once used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out exactly half the universe, just to impress Lady Death, only to be spurned by her. He tries many extreme declarations of affection to Death, who turns away from his gestures because she is in love with Deadpool instead.
But why is she so obsessed with mercenary, Wade Wilson? Find out five reasons why below:
5. 'The Merc with Immortality' is the only Marvel entity with the capacity to handle Death.
When they first meet, in the bowels of Department K's Weapon X program, Wade Wilson isn't sure if she is real or just a drug-induced apparition. He immediately accepts her for what she is and develops feelings for her.
4. Deadpool once saved Death from cosmic captivity. She was abducted by her big brother, Eternity, so Thanos attempted to rescue her, once more proving his loyalty to her, however, she makes it clear that she only wants Deadpool, forcing an infuriated Thanos to team up with his love rival. Jealousy and rage consumes 'The Mad Titan' and he curses Deadpool with immortality.
3. Death likes his extra-ness, the annoying way he never shuts up and jokes all the time. She can even successfully out-Deadpool Deadpool!
4. Unlike Thanos, Deadpool loves Death without fear or shame. He 'gets her' and she 'gets him', they are just made for each other.
1. The main reason Death is so absorbed by Deadpool is because she cannot have him. As he cannot die, he can never enter her realm.
Bonus Fact: Deadpool is the most unique Marvel character there is, because of his ability to break the fourth wall. The fact there is no one else in the universe quite like him is another reason why Lady Death is so fascinated and taken with him.
