Thor is the one of the most powerful and popular Marvel characters in history. 

The Asgardian god of thunder, whose enchanted hammer Mjolnir enables him to fly and teleport into different dimensions, is a founding member of the Avengers team and possesses superhuman abilities.

He first appeared in comic books in 1962, and is believed to be anything up to two-million years old! He once said "The first time I set my eyes upon Midgard (Earth), people lived in caves and fought one another with stones and sticks".

With this wealth of experience and knowledge, coupled with his immense superhuman strength, there's not many that can match his fighting skills. But they are some that can...

Thor can beat Hulk:

Thor and Hulk both possess equal strength but can Hulk handle Thor’s speed, power and IQ? Thor wins this war.

Odin can beat Thor: 

In many of their encounters, Odin has beat Thor by grappling, manhandling, wrestling and smashing him into the ground. He has even stripped him of his power before and once made his mouth disappear!

Thor can beat Hercules:

Hercules is powerful but, like Hulk, his main powers are strength, durability, and stamina capable enough to match gods. But Thor has a slight edge in physical strength over him and can control the weather to aid his attacks.

Zeus can beat Thor: 

They have had one encounter already and it lasted months, but in the end Zeus won. He is understood to be equal to Odin.

Thor can beat Scarlet Witch:

They are both powerful but Thor is too fast and strong for her. He has beat her in both their fights.

Galactus can beat Thor:

Galactus is faster than Silver Surfer - his herald. Galactus has defeated Odin with a head butt, so he can easily overpower Thor.

Thor can beat Sentry:

Sentry is a Superman-copy and has extreme powers, but Thor has triumphed over him on two occasions. 

Sentry has beat him once but that was Void Sentry, a more powerful version of him. Also in Sentry’s most powerful form, he beat Thor’s second weakest form. Thor snapped his neck once and killed him.

Thanos can beat Thor: 

'The Mad Titan' is more powerful than people give him credit for, despite wiping out the half the universe! He easily beat up Silver Surfer, and more than once. He has also brushed aside Hulk and Thor many times.

Thor can beat Beta Ray Bill:

Korbinite Beta Ray Bill is more durable than him, but Thor is physically stronger and faster, and has defeated him on multiple occasions. However, when they first met, Bill managed to defeat Thor, when in the form of Donald Blake, by knocking him unconscious, and upon picking up his cane (the shell of Mjolnir) he received Thor's powers.

Gorr The God Butcher can beat Thor:

Gorr The God Butcher is a powerful being who took on three Thors at the same time. One of them had the Thor force (a more powerful version of the Odin force), but the power of his All-black Necro sword - created by Knull - was too much.
