The Living Legend vs the leader of the X-Men; who is the victor?
Captain America and Cyclops are both the leaders of Marvel's biggest teams, but which leader wins in an all out battle? Can Cyclops' optic blasts defeat a super soldier?
They are both strong, however Captain America has casually severed heads from Doombots and he is much stronger physically.
What Cyclops lacks is strength compared to Cap, he makes up for in abilities. His optic blast can, and have, levelled mountains if he fully unleashes it. They can change the outcome of this battle.
Captain America is also faster than Cyclops in terms of running speed, however Cyclops' optic blasts are very fast, so Captain America may struggle to react to them and shield himself from the danger it poses.
Both are skilled martial artists, and both of them know numerous fighting styles, however Captain America is more skilled than Cyclops. He has mastered multiple martial arts and he has trained with the greatest martial artists in Marvel, like Iron Fist, Black Panther, Black Widow and more, additionally, he has fought people who have mastered every martial art, like Taskmaster.
Durability is also another factor that goes to Captain America. He has tanked missiles from Iron Man, he crashed through a thick concrete wall at high speeds and got up afterwards. Cyclops is a strong human, however he is not as physically powerful as super soldiers such as Captain America.
Another deciding factor in this fight is their skill in using their main ability or weapon, the optic blasts and Cap's shield. Both can perfectly ricochet each almost perfectly, and Captain America's shield can block the optic blasts, however Cyclops doesn't need to catch his optic blasts and Steve has to catch or make contact with his shield to use it properly, so that is yet another advantage for Cyclops.
Overall, the fight looks one sided to Captain America when you break it down, but Cyclops' optic blasts are his main trait, and he can possibly win this fight. This fight is most likely a 50/50, as Cyclops can win if he keeps Captain America far away, but Captain America can win if he goes aggressive and keeps close to Cyclops, so in conclusion the fight is a 50/50.
