Thanos vs Dr Doom - Who wins and why?
Dr Doom is one of the best Marvel characters and easily the best villain but Thanos has gone toe to toe with the strongest of the strongest.
Firstly, Thanos has harmed Galactus; one-shot Hulk; easily beat the Silver Surfer and Thor; outsmarted Grandmaster, who has lived for thousands of years and learnt many things; conquered the Chitary (an alien race with advanced tech), took on Phane (his son), who had the Phoenix force; tanked going through a black hole multiple times; and has reality warping resistance.
His Titan genealogy gives him an overwhelming level of immunity to physical damage; he can sustain hits from the most powerful versions of Thor, boosted by the Power Gem; and even from celestials like Galactus and Eternity.
He also possesses raw power too, he can force the Hulk into submission with ease, as well as other strong characters like the Silver Surfer and Beta Rey Bill.
On the other hand, Doom has trapped Dr Strange and the Fantastic Four; easily defeated Hulk; tanked hits from Captain Britain; took on Mephisto (the devil); tanked a blast from the Infinity Gauntlet, made Magneto look like a joke; went toe to toe with Silver Surfer; defeated the Beyonder twice; and defeated Galactus three times!
It's his mental abilities that are his biggest strength, he is a great scientist, but his sorcery and magic is also a great attribute. Unknown to some, Doom is actually one of the best martial artists in the world.
Based on their feats, Thanos wins this 8/10 times. His durability, power and ability to restore himself, having been brought back to life before. His eternal metabolism allows him to heal and even reconstruct his physiology. Doom would have to batter him with the biggest powers in the universe to even make a dent in him, which he can restore anyway. Most of Dr. Doom’s triumphs came with extensive planning and preparation, so he stands a chance of matching and even defeating 'The Mad Titan'.
Thanos wins this battle nearly every time, with Doom only having a slim chance of ever winning.
