Marvel Zombies review and breakdown

 How good was Marvel Zombies?

Marvel Zombies was a four episode Marvel spin off from Season one episode five of What If..? It contains many different characters, mainly from recent MCU phases. This review will rate each episode out of the four, and the overall plot. The first three episodes all follow the same format of the heroes go somewhere, find something out and then the place gets overrun by zombies and someone sacrifices themselves so the others get away.

Episode 1-The episode was a great pilot, it had good action and a great summary of what the lot would be and the protagonist. The death of Hawkeye and Ironheart was not expected, Blade Knight was a great character and his fight with Ghost was perfect. There was a good mixture of serious and comedy, and the Captain Marvel vs Ikarus fight was also good.

Episode 2-I think the episode 2 intro was better, it introduced good characters and the Raft as a city was a great idea. Namor was a threatening villain and his zombie form was very powerful. Zemo was a great addition and John Walker had a cool cameo.

Episode 3-The start of this episode was definitely the best out of the four, the fight between Scott Lang, Spider-Man and Black Panther vs Thanos and a zombie hoard was soo cool, my only issue is that Thor seemed a little bit less powerful than his MCU counterpart, Black Panther's sacrifice was great and Scarlet Witch vs Thor was a cool addition,. The plot twist with the Nova corps was great as well.

Episode 4-Infinity Hulk vs the zombies was awesome, but he felt a little bit underpowered, especially since he was getting hurt by Asgardian ships that some Magicians took down with ease. Infinity Hulk vs Zombie Thor was the highlight of this episode, however the ending wasn't that good. It was too confusing, but it sets up season 2 well (if there will be one).

In conclusion, Marvel Zombies was a great show, 8/10.
